Job Summary

The Front Desk Receptionist Clerk is responsible for daily communication with the Agency and clinical staff, as well as with the community. Responsibilities will include communication within the office and with clinical staff. This office staff employee must be efficient, flexible, organized, and maintain a respectable presence for the Agency.

Essential Functions Of a Front Desk Receptionist
  • Answers phones and transfers calls to the appropriate staff member
  • Records internal phone calls
  • Manages the front desk and greets incoming guests
  • Maintains the lobby and reception area as presentable
  • Communicates with the Supervisor when the front desk requires coverage (lunch, call-offs, and vacation)
  • Will be at work promptly for the opening of the Agency and to transfer phones over from the night before
  • Organizing Home Health SOC packets
  • Assists with other tasks when they do not compromise primary duties (Chart Audits, Scheduling, Missed Visits)
Professional Requirements
  • Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean
  • Completes the annual education requirements of the Agency
  • Maintains regulatory requirements
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times
  • Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner
  • Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices
  • Communicates the mission, ethics, and goals of the organization
Job Requirements
  • Graduate of High School
  • One-year office experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable automobile
  • Proof of automobile insurance
  • Demonstrates a willingness to assist other office staff members as needed
  • Relates well to the community, staff, and other professionals
Skills
  • Knowledge of coding and keyboarding
  • Knowledge about Medical Terminology
  • Ability to read and speak in English
Physical Demands
  • Prolonged sitting and walking required
  • Ability to move up to 50 pounds
