Job Description and Responsibilities
Rocky Mountain Steel Mills is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist for our Mill located in Pueblo, Colorado.
This role is responsible for overseeing inventory flows within our warehouse. This role is essential for coordinating the inflow and outflow of inventory, managing shipment, loading, and storage activities, and ensuring the accuracy of inventory records. The ideal candidate will possess strong IT skills, experience with Oracle is desirable, and an understanding of MRO and production inventory spares management software systems.
- Inspect the completeness of work orders before issuance and resolve deficiencies with department personnel
- Generate and compile Oracle purchase orders and produce summarized reports
- Prepare, identify and summarize inventory anomalies (part classification and Item description inconsistencies)
- Collect new item requests, review requests for complete and accurate data.
- Develop and manage departmental reports and documents as needed for analysis and improved visibility
- Conduct failure analysis, generate reports and enter requests for support on findings
- Perform other tasks as assigned based on daily workload
- Organize and supervise pre and post outage part requests (coordinate the staging and preparing for shipment and repair)
- Bachelors – Business or Supply Chain or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of education
- 2-4 years demonstrated warehouse data management and analysis
- Warehouse management software experience:
Oracle and/or Realview preferred - Administrative experience (typing, filing, sorting)
- Exposure to barcoding and radio frequency identification devices preferred

Compensation$65,000 - $75,000
