Senior Resident Engineer​/Construction Manager

Full‑Time Senior Resident Engineer/Construction Manager – Denver, Colorado

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full‑Time Senior Resident Engineer/Construction Manager for our Denver office. Other locations include Boulder, Colorado Springs and Lakewood.

• Conduct constructability reviews of design documents
• Provide cost estimating and budget development
• Help with bid package preparation and contractor selection
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other consultants
• Schedule and coordinate pre‑construction and partnering meetings

• Monitor project progress against schedule and budget
• Identify and manage potential risks
• Review change orders and recommend approvals
• Oversee quality control and safety compliance
• Review project activities with client and contractor field supervision, resolving disputes and daily issues
• Oversee materials testing activities
• Review daily inspection reports and other project documentation
• Facilitate communication between owner, design team, and contractors
• Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings
• Analyze project data to identify cost‑saving opportunities
• Provide recommendations for project adjustments as needed
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of CO or the ability to obtain it within 6 months
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant construction experience
• Ability to read and fully understand contract documents
• Deep understanding of construction practices, building codes, and project delivery methods
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Proven experience in construction management, preferably with a focus on owner representation
• Track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred
• Experience working on city, county and/or state construction projects
• CDOT construction experience
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  Highways, Rail, Aviation, Water, Mining

Expected Salary (Colorado only): $110,700 – $164,450. Compensation range is provided in good faith based on education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, and may vary.
