Estimator – Water​/Wastewater

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for water and wastewater treatment projects
• Review project documents, plans, specifications, and addenda completely and accurately
• Analyze and compile estimate data affecting labor, materials, equipment requirements, location, and other factors
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals
• Develop and maintain business relationships with small businesses, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Provide input on value engineering
• Provide conceptual estimates from limited information with assumptions and clarifications
• Prepare contingency and risk analysis for estimates and pre-review
• Communicate estimate bid information to field operations at pre-construction meetings
• Ensure understanding of project scope and critical means and methods of construction
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously

• 2+ years of construction estimating experience
• Previous estimating experience, preferably in the water, wastewater, or industrial markets
• Proven experience estimating heavy civil earthwork, cast-in-place concrete structures, underground yard piping, and/or above-grade process piping systems
• Estimating experience with at-risk self-performing contracts preferred over construction manager at-risk delivery methods
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or equivalent work experience preferred but not required
• Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and understanding specifications
• Ability to review take-off quantities to ensure accuracy of data used in estimates
• Ability to review drawings, specifications, and proposed project site conditions
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in collaborative environments
• Must pass background screening
• Must work in a drug-free workplace

Demonstrates expertise in construction estimating with a focus on water and wastewater treatment projects, including proficiency in quantity takeoffs, cost estimation, and risk analysis. Strong ability to analyze project documents and collaborate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers.
