Responsibilities
- Advise students and families on financial aid aspects including eligibility, application procedures, available programs, financial management strategies; handle application review, use PAWS, update Banner data, troubleshoot conflicts, comply with federal laws.
- Process financial aid applications and corrections: review documents, calculate financial need, determine aid to award, generate award changes.
- Process loan adjustments, perform ISIR verification, collaborate on special circumstance appeals.
- Recruit, hire, and supervise student financial services employees; provide training materials, opportunities for growth, approve timesheets per payroll deadlines.
- Promote CSU Pueblo in Colorado schools, conduct visits, presentations, fairs throughout Pueblo and southern Colorado region.
- Increase student awareness of Student Financial Services policies, financial aid application process, Satisfactory Academic Progress, and related academic and enrollment policies.
- Deliver on‑campus presentations and coordinate money management and financial literacy awareness efforts.
- Update and maintain Financial Aid website, ensure current information, accurate links, coordinate updates with page owners.
- Bachelor's Degree conferred by position start.
- Willing and able to work normal hours of operation and additional hours as business necessitates; hours may include some evening and/or weekend hours.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office products.
- Experience engaging in tactful and efficient customer service.
- Knowledge of financial aid, debt management.
- Knowledge on how to appropriately handle and maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive student and family financial information.
- Skills to identify problems including research for solutions and/or answers.
- Experience creating and delivering presentations; experience working in higher education and/or financial aid.
- Experience working with a workforce reflective of CSU Pueblo's student population.
- Experience in credit counseling.
- Standard background check and fingerprint‑based criminal history record check required as per HB18‑1339 for individuals with access to federal tax information.

$42,000 to $45,000
