SUPERVISORStudent Athletics Director
SUMMARYCoach and instruct students in the fundamental skills, strategy, and training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success and formulate moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence. Design tactics and strategies for the team. Foster cooperation and positive teamwork, exhibiting outstanding sportsmanship, and provide mentorship for students.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following tasks describe the basic functions of the job. The following frequencies and percentage of time spent are approximations only.
- Study students’ skills and abilities to maximize their individual and team performance. Develop and implement ideas to optimize student performance. Devise, direct, and execute tactical strategies. [Daily, 30%]
- Create and sustain individual and team practice plans. [Daily, 25%]
- Document student attendance, behavior, and academic status. [Daily, 15%]
- Adhere to, enforce, and implement district, school, and activity program policies. [Daily, 15%]
- Establish and maintain direction and expectations for all program participants. [Daily, 5%]
- Communicate student status with student and their parent(s)/guardian(s). Provide mentorship for students. [Weekly, 5%]
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. [Daily, 5%]
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience as a participant and/or advisor in speech and debate.
- Advanced communication skills.
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.
All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired.
