Required:
- Prior Administrator experience
- Knowledge of research based instructional practices
- Knowledge of current educational research
- Experience with APEX
- Understands and uses current technology
- Knowledge of learning styles and working with adults
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to utilize data to inform instructional decisions
- Willingness to work as a team
- Monitoring attendance of the Summer School Staff and Students
- Monitoring and addressing student behavior
- Supervising the Staff and Teachers at each site
- Procuring substitutes as needed for teacher absences during Summer School
- Submitting data required based on the timeline provided by Learning Service Department
- Submitting reports as required based on the time provided by Learning Service Department
- Attending all Summer School Administrator meetings prior to and during Summer School
- Completing walkthroughs of classrooms
- Working with the Building Principal to secure the needed classrooms/media/technology for the Summer School
- Ensuring all material orders are submitted to the office of Secondary Education according to the timeline
- Coordinating with transportation regarding bus schedules, student lists, stops, and behavior issues
- Hiring summer school staff
- Transcribing student grades
- Planning and Implementing High School Summer School Graduation
- All other responsibilities of a Summer School Administrator as assigned
June 8 through July 17, 2026 (5 weeks, 4 days a week Monday-Thursday, 8 hours per day)
Summer School ScheduleStudent Orientation:
June 10/11, 2026 from 8:00 a.m.
- 3:30 p.m.
Students:
June 15 - July 16, 2026 (excluding July 2, 2026)
Teachers:
June 9 - July 16, 2026 (excluding July 2, 2026)
Administrators:
June 8 - July 17, 2026 (excluding July 2, 2026)
Graduation:
July 16, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at South High School
