Operating under the direction of the School Principal, the High School Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging, rigorous instruction aligned with state standards and content-area and district expectations . The teacher fosters a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and positive behavior. Responsibilities include assessing student progress, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and maintaining clear communication with students and families.

The teacher collaborates with colleagues and administrators to support and encourage student success.

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction within assigned content areas using district adopted resources when available
• Design lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and subject mastery
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to support diverse learning styles
• Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of all learners
• Prepare instructional materials and resources to enhance student engagement
• Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one situations
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
• Establish clear expectations for behavior, academic integrity, and classroom routines aligned with school-wide policies and procedures

This position will have 2 sections of high school English, the remainder of the day will be time to coordinate, communicate, and oversee 504 plans at GJHS.

Acceptable demonstration of acceptable education and/or experience will be at the sole discretion of the District.

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eligible for appropriate Colorado teaching license
• Experience instructing students in a classroom setting is preferred
