JOB SUMMARY

Develop, implement, and supervise industry-aligned coursework that provides students with technical knowledge, hands‑on skills, and career readiness. Deliver effective instruction that promotes an exemplary educational program and supports the success of all students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. Job Task Descriptions
  • 1. Instruct students in large, small, and one‑on‑one situations.
    Frequency:

  • 2. Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, format, structure, schedule, individualized programs of instruction for students, classroom materials and curriculum, lesson plans, and learning activities.

  • 3. Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students’ assignments and assessments.

  • 4. Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways and use the data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    :

    • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
    • High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
    • Five (5) years of professional work experience in industry
    • Appropriate certifications or licenses in the industry field
    • Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Basic classroom management and planning skills
    • Basic organizational skills
    • Intermediate verbal and written communication and interpersonal relations skills
    • Ability to assume leadership in the development and communication of programs and curriculum
    • Ability and desire to work as a team member

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    This position supports hands‑on EMT skills labs and scenario‑based training under the direction of the lead EMT instructor. Assists with patient assessments, EMS equipment, trauma and medical skills, communication, documentation, skills stations, scenarios, and student feedback/preparation for practical testing and the NREMT process. Must hold a current EMT or Paramedic certification and be actively working in EMS. Teaching, training, precepting, or mentoring experience preferred.

    Must be professional, patient, and comfortable working with high school students.

    This position will work in opt‑in 3‑hour shifts, either or both 8:45–11:45 a.m. and 12:00–3:00 p.m., scheduled on a rolling basis; a consistent weekly schedule is not required.
