Hutchinson is in the Green Mountain area of Jefferson County Schools and we take pride in building strong partnerships with its families and the surrounding community. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Teach students the principles of design through disciplines such as drawing, painting and sculpture.
• Demonstrate the ability to incorporate the use of technology into curriculum as it relates to art.
• Encourage student creativity.
• Ability to assess students and differentiate instruction to meet all students' abilities.
• Demonstrates the ability to become a valuable and contributing member of the staff, including work with co-curricular and enrichment activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Elementary level Visual Arts curriculum Academic Standards.
• Willingness to participate in County and State art shows.
• Ability to use effective classroom management techniques creating a positive and supportive education environment.
