DFR Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Needs Assessment:
  Consult with customers to conduct detailed needs assessments, designing tailored DFR solutions. Define system architecture, hardware requirements, integration strategies, and data workflows ensuring compliance with CJIS security standards.
• End-to-End DFR Deployment & Infrastructure Engineering:
  Lead full lifecycle deployment, site readiness, engineering assessments, rooftop placement, drone‑in‑a‑box integration, power delivery, weatherproofing, compliance, and operational status.
• CAD / RMS & Legacy Systems Integration:
  Design and implement technical integrations between the CAPE platform and agency CAD/RMS systems, configure automated dispatch triggers for autonomous drone launches on 911 calls.
• Regulatory Advisory & FAA Compliance Support:
  Advise agencies on FAA waivers (BVLOS, TBVLOS), support technical safety cases, and ensure deployment architectures meet airspace awareness system requirements.
• Advanced Technical Support & Optimization:
  Serve as the post‑deployment technical expert, diagnosing network, hardware, and telemetry issues and collaborating to resolve operational problems promptly.
• Remote & Onsite Support:
  Provide onsite support (50‑75% travel) and remote support for deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Sales Enablement & Product Demonstrations:
  Support the sales team by leading client meetings, industry events, live product demos, pre‑sale consultations, and logistics coordination.
• Training Consultation & SME Input:
  Act as the subject‑matter expert, consulting with the Training Team to develop comprehensive training methodologies.

• Proven experience in solution architecture, systems integration, or technical deployment engineering within the UAS/drone industry or public safety sector.
• Deep familiarity with IP networking, LTE/5G cellular routing, cloud computing, APIs, and CAD/RMS systems.
• Strong understanding of DFR market trends, competitive ecosystems, and advanced drone hardware docking technologies.
• 3+ years of drone‑related work experience.
• Valid FAA Part 107 Remote Drone Pilot Certification.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
• Ability to obtain a background clearance; position requires a stringent fingerprint background check.
• 50‑75% travel required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Aviation, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).

• Target Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 USD.
