Trane Technologies is hiring a Product Test Engineer:
This role will effectively develop, deploy, maintain, and improve the technical and administrative processes related to the Water and Air-Cooled Test Stands. The Product Test Engineer will Lead a Team and coordinate chiller testing with engineering, technical service, product management and certification body's.

* ** RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* + Lead, manage and develop a Team of Test Technicians and Test Stand facilities to ensure a world class experience for our customers.

+ Identify and effectively facilitate First Pass Yield improvements and DPU.

+ Develop test plans and testing procedures to effectively test chillers as per customer requirements.

+ Coordinate and plan test facility calibration, maintenance and improvement of test stand facilities.

+ Interact with product management and engineering to ensure customers have a world class experience.

+ Support the launch of new products through Early Launch Containment planning and support.

+ Responsible for keeping updated SOPs, visual aids, formats and quality records according to the Trane QMS.

+ Ensure testing complies with AHRI / ASHRAE, industry regulations, as well as safety requirements

+ Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for product failures

+ Maintain test equipment, laboratory tools, and participate in continuous improvement related to testing processes and product quality

* QUALIFICATIONS:

*
* + Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field preferred

+ Experience and understanding of automation, controls, data acquisition and instrumentation hardware and software

+ Design or application experience in HVAC products, thermodynamics, heat transfer, controls, electrical power, refrigerant systems, and compressor technology

+ Experience or familiarity with AHRI and/or other standards such as ASHRAE, ASME, etc.

+ Ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical standards

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office products including:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Tableau. Experience in Access and SharePoint, are a plus

+ Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally

+ Experience using common problem-solving tools, preferably 9 Step, 8D, A3 SPS for determination of root cause to drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions for customer complaints and internal issues

+ Ability to organize tasks and manage time to complete multiple assignments simultaneously

+ Experience Leading Teams and managing people
