Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Engineering AutoCAD role located in Pueblo, CO. The Engineering AutoCAD professional will prepare and revise detailed engineering drawings and layouts for mechanical and manufacturing-related systems using AutoCAD and related tools. Daily responsibilities include interpreting engineering specifications, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and ensuring drawings comply with industry standards and company guidelines. The role involves reviewing plans for accuracy, supporting design changes, maintaining organized drawing files, and collaborating with other team members to meet project timelines.
The individual will also assist with basic calculations, documentation, and technical communication to support safe and efficient project execution.
Qualifications
- Strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience or familiarity with Manufacturing Engineering concepts to support production-oriented designs.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal interaction with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Solid Analytical Skills for reviewing designs, identifying discrepancies, and solving technical challenges.
- Basic Project Management abilities to prioritize tasks, track progress, and meet deadlines on multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (and preferably other CAD software) for creating 2D/3D drawings and detailed layouts.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy and safety in engineering documentation.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, drafting, engineering technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in industrial, mechanical, or fire protection systems environments is beneficial.
