Investment Banking Associate

• Oversee and ensure accuracy of analyst duties, including modeling review, research methodology, and deal wrap-up activities
• Develop analytical and data-driven components for M&A transactions
• Research industries and companies for prospective buyer lists, industry overviews, buying trends, general knowledge, and practice development
• Develop and manipulate financial models and valuations for financing, structure, and cash flow feasibility
• Write assigned sections of selling documents detailing company attributes and pertinent information
• Assemble, develop, and edit information requests, due diligence lists, confidentiality agreements, engagement letters, proposals, and management presentations
• Communicate with potential buyers, financial institutions, attorneys, referral sources, and clients
• Participate in strategic discussions surrounding transactions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• MBS preferred but not required
• At least 3 years work experience in investment banking or a transactional related field
• Qualified individuals must reside in or near the Metro Detroit, Chicagoland, or Denver area, or be willing to relocate
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, except qualified candidates bilingual in Japanese and English or Chinese and English
• Problem-solving focus with quality and accuracy
• Passion for investment banking
• Data analysis experience
• Ability to perform supervisory responsibilities
• Financial modeling and valuation experience
• Research methodology experience
• Ability to communicate with potential buyers, financial institutions, attorneys, referral sources, and clients
• This is a non-exempt position and may require hours exceeding a standard 40-hour work week
• May require travel
