Position Information
This is an unpaid/volunteer opportunity with the 10th Judicial District Probation Department in Pueblo. These positions are not eligible for benefits. Interns must agree to and pass a criminal background check.
Interns are expected to work approximately 10 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, with flexible scheduling to accommodate school/work. Applications accepted for summer and fall semesters; indicate semester in cover letter.

Additional Comments (Responsibilities & Duties)The Intern Probation Officers are introduced to all duties of a probation officer. Responsibilities include writing legal reports such as warrants, summons, terminations, extensions, and special reports.
Interns shadow and mentor with Probation Officers across various caseloads to gain a well-rounded understanding of diverse populations within probation.
Interns attend court hearings and training sessions.
