Colorado State University Pueblo's Wolfpack Counseling Center provides accessible, student-centered mental health services that support the academic success, personal well-being, and overall development of CSU Pueblo students. The Counseling Center works collaboratively with professionals across Wolfpack Wellness, including counseling staff, psychiatric providers, and campus partners, to connect students with appropriate care and resources.

This benefits-eligible Licensed Counselor position works approximately 24 hours per week (.60 FTE), offering the opportunity to provide meaningful clinical care within a university setting while maintaining a reduced professional schedule. The position combines direct counseling services with crisis intervention, collaborative care, and campus outreach while providing the stability and benefits associated with university employment.

The Licensed Counselor provides assessment, individual counseling, crisis intervention, treatment planning, referral, and care coordination for CSU Pueblo students. Working approximately 24 hours per week, this position offers licensed professionals an opportunity to maintain an active clinical practice within a collaborative environment while working a reduced schedule.

• Provide individual counseling services to students, including intake assessment, diagnostic impression, treatment planning, goal development, therapeutic intervention, and evaluation of progress.
• Assess student needs and determine the appropriate level of care, including referrals for psychological testing, psychiatric services, medication management, higher levels of care, or other mental health services when appropriate.
• Collaborate with counselors, the Wolfpack Wellness Team, psychiatric providers, and the Director of the Wolfpack Counseling Center to coordinate care and support positive student outcomes.
• Provide crisis assessment and intervention when students may present an imminent danger to themselves or others, including coordination of immediate evaluation and treatment when necessary.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the electronic health record, including intake information, assessments, diagnostic impressions, treatment plans, progress notes, interventions, crisis documentation, and referrals.
• Monitor progress toward treatment goals and adjust interventions or recommend additional services based on individual student needs.

• Provide mental health education, outreach, and training for students, faculty, and staff.
• Support programming and educational activities for campus populations that may include Residence Life staff, student athletes, Greek Life organizations, classrooms, and other university groups.
• Participate in staff, department, and divisional meetings to support coordination of counseling services and alignment with departmental and university goals.

• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain professional licensure, strengthen clinical knowledge and skills, and remain current with developments in the field.

$37,000 to $43,000

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
• Current Colorado licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• Knowledge and skill in crisis intervention.
• Experience working with electronic health records.
• Two or more years of experience providing individual, couples, and/or group counseling.

• Doctoral degree in a related field.
• Additional certification or specialized training in an area of counseling practice.
