Associate, Marketing Business Intelligence Engineer (Business Intelligence Engineer
2)

Humana’s Marketing organization seeks an Associate to join the Marketing Analytics team as a Business Intelligence Engineer 2. In this role, you will develop data solutions that uncover actionable insights into marketing performance, support the creation and maintenance of dashboards and reporting tools that surface trends, measure campaign effectiveness, and empower marketers to optimize strategies through data‑driven decision making.

Key Role Functions
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into key performance indicators.
  • Own reporting solutions end‑to‑end by delivering key insights through dashboards and serving as the go‑to expert on the data and its business context.
  • Assist in data validation, cleansing, and preparation to ensure accuracy and reliability of insights.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of data pipelines by collaborating with Data Engineering and IT teams, ensuring data flows are reliable, well‑documented, and aligned with reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with analytics and business teams to ensure reporting meets stakeholder needs.
  • Document reporting logic and contribute to governance efforts.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on BI capabilities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Data Analytics, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with Power BI and familiarity with DAX for creating calculated columns, measures, and custom logic within Power BI reports.
  • Advanced experience with SQL and data modeling concepts.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot data pipeline issues and proactively resolve data quality problems to ensure reliable, accurate, and timely reporting.
  • Experience in data preparation tasks such as cleansing, validation, and transformation.
  • Strong grasp of data governance principles, including documentation, version control, and metadata management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and data privacy standards.
  • Exposure to marketing or operational reporting environments.
  • Familiarity with Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Experience with performance tracking and KPI development.

Hours

40 hours per week.

Travel

Pay Range

$66,800 – $91,100 per year (based on geographic location and individual qualifications).
