Are you a versatile front-line leader who's skilled in managing day-to-day team operations within a highly technical environment? As our new Desktop Supervisor supporting the Department of Transportation, you will assign, prioritize, monitor, and maintain workflow, while coaching, leading, and motivating staff. You will also be responsible for delivering services assigned to your work unit, providing support across multiple platforms, and sharing information with an enterprise-wide focus and an eye on continuous improvement.
Some of your important responsibilities will include:
- Collaboratively training, troubleshooting, and supporting system and process changes within multiple agency environments.
- Creating and maintaining an environment that is supportable, secure, and scalable.
- Staff supervision, mentoring, and leadership.
- Managing projects and ensuring adequate availability of resources.
- Resolution of internal and external customer issues.
- Actively engage in improving leadership skills, attitudes, and knowledge, especially as related to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Attend training, development, and group training on topics of inclusive leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position.
- Experience must include at least one year performing at the level of Senior/Lead/Matrixed Leadership in a relevant position.
Substitutions:
- Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.
- Training or Certification related to the work assigned to the position will be assigned credit towards substitution for experience and/or education, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.
- If the minimum qualifications include a degree requirement, additional appropriate paid or unpaid experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years of knowledge of computer/network systems infrastructure requirements and standards, standard software packages, and patch deployment methodologies, along with standard change control processes.
- Experience working with enterprise security tools - Bitlocker, Crowd Strike, Tenable Nessus, etc.
- Experience working with Service Now.
- Experience working with and troubleshooting end-user systems with Microsoft Intune/Auto Pilot and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM).
Conditions of Employment:
This position may require travel within the specified geographic area, and to locations across the state as needed.
This position may require on-call duties as needed by the position.
