Do you want to make our beautiful state even better? The Colorado Broadband Office (CBO) leads the statewide effort to expand broadband coverage and quality for all Coloradans and coordinates all broadband efforts for Colorado. We’re looking for a strategic and collaborative Senior Manager of Broadband Programs who will serve a critical coordinating function for the Broadband Office.

You will be responsible for overseeing both the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) program and the Digital Access and Inclusion Program to ensure an accurate, data-driven strategy and equitable broadband deployment across Colorado. The position is responsible for managing the collection, verification, and mapping of statewide broadband availability data and for managing geographic data needs for state and federal funding programs. This position is also responsible for the execution of comprehensive digital equity, literacy, and affordability programs across diverse and underserved communities.

As a Senior Manager, the role balances daily operational oversight with strategic planning, serving as a "player-coach" who leads, coaches, and motivates a team of technical and programmatic individual contributors.

Some of the day to day opportunities include the following:

  • Overseeing the data collection, verification, and processing workflows for the statewide broadband geographic inventory (including broadband availability, serviceable locations, community anchor institutions, and funded locations) to ensure accurate reporting and analysis and support for CBO grant programs.
  • Establishing the Broadband GIS framework as a central repository for data sharing, knowledge collaboration, and tool training for public and private stakeholders.
  • Fulfill the role of project sponsor for technical GIS mapping tools, data challenges, and public-facing broadband map applications impacting state agencies and regional stakeholders.
  • Compiling and maintaining all required programmatic and technical performance metrics and data for federal grantors.
  • Leading the operationalization, execution, and continuous iteration of the strategy for digital access and inclusion, transforming high-level strategic goals into actionable state and regional program models.
  • Directing the implementation of digital access and inclusion initiatives - including supporting CBO grant programs, enabling regional coalitions, providing direct guidance for local initiatives, identifying opportunities for cross-sector partnerships, and securing additional funding avenues.
  • Convening, facilitating, and managing statewide digital equity working groups, coalitions, and stakeholder committees to gather ongoing feedback and drive localized adoption of digital access programs.
  • Actively engaging in improving leadership skills, attitudes, and knowledge, especially as related to equity, diversity and inclusion.…
