IT Operations Specialist – Tier 2

• Support day-to-day IT operations for the Defense Intelligence Agency customer
• Serve as a key member of the global, 24/7 operations team
• Provide Tier 2 incident analysis, troubleshooting, break/fix, and hands-on touch labor
• Coordinate with Tier 3 resources for advanced troubleshooting
• Perform scheduled and ad hoc maintenance, updates, and upgrades
• Provide continuous patch management across workstations and servers, networks, and security domains
• Coordinate on approved Plan of Action and Milestones
• Monitor and analyze capacity, performance, and service-level metrics
• Participate in Continual Service Improvement by researching technologies and articulating benefits
• Use lab facilities to resolve incidents and test new designs
• Develop cases and scripts for Beta and Acceptance testing
• Support implementation and transfer of engineered solutions through Blue/Green fielding
• Collaborate with Engineering teams, Tier 3 specialists, and Government stakeholders
• Work with technical writers to maintain SOPs and knowledge-base artifacts
• Assist with CDRL documentation, reports, and data

• Current Top Secret SCI clearance with ability to obtain poly prior to start
• DOD 8140 Certification applicable to role, minimum Security+
• AA and 10+ years of experience, BS/BA and 8+ years of experience, MS/MA and 6+ years of experience, or PhD and 4+ years of experience
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience integrating, operating, and maintaining IT hardware and software solutions
• Applicable vendor, professional, or OEM-specific certification
• Experience with Windows Server
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy (GPO)
• Experience with VMware vSphere / ESXi
• Experience with Net App (ONTAP)
• Experience with Dell Storage (Data Domain / FluidFS)
• Experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN / NAS)
• Experience with Commvault, Veeam, or Veritas Backup
• Experience with Info Blox
• Experience with Microsoft SCCM / MECM
• Experience with WSUS
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite
• Experience with Nessus / ACAS vulnerability scanners
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Basic Oracle Database knowledge
• Experience with Solar Winds, Splunk, or Microsoft SCOM
• Basic T-SQL querying
• Ability to coordinate with Tier 3 and Engineering resources
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies

Demonstrates expertise in IT operations, incident analysis, and troubleshooting within a defense environment, with a strong focus on maintaining and integrating hardware and software solutions. Proficient in managing security protocols and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
