Description of Job

You are required to work at your assigned work location during your scheduled work times.

Please note:

Work arrangements are subject to change at any time. This position provides oversight and supervision to the Southern District Heat Plant. Provides operation and maintenance functions for the facilities' physical plant equipment located within the Heat plant structure. Performs essential operational functions, ensures compliance with all environmental regulations, maintenance, cleanliness, schedule and emergency repairs (electrical and mechanical) to ensure effective, operational practices to ensure equipment longevity.

Minimum Qualifications , Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

Applicants must currently possess a valid Stationary Engineer License "A", American Society of Power Engineers (ASOPE) license or Equivalent. In order for your application to be considered, you must attach your license, certification or equivalent to this job application.

Minimum Qualifications:

Six years of work experience in boiler operations performing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, two of which must have been at the journey level.

Education and Experience:

A combination of related education, formalized apprenticeship program, and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position equal to six (6) years, two (2) of which must have been at the journey level.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supervising a 24/7 heat plant. Previous high-pressure coal fired steam boiler operations and maintenance experience. Relevant years of state experience
