Loader Operator
The Loader Operator will be responsible for keeping the bins full and maintaining loaders and conveyors. Wage Range: $20 to $24 per hour dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Operate front-end loader to transport materials to and from storage and processing areas.
- Operate front-end loader to feed conveyors.
- Inspect equipment prior to operation for any safety or maintenance issues.
- Perform routine maintenance on the loader such as lubricating, fueling and cleaning.
- Create and maintain inclines and ramps to excavated materials.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/
Experience:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Six months to one year of experience as a loader operator or similar role.
Work Requirements:
Must be 18 years in age or older. Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check. Report to work dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
Knowledge of the concrete production and aggregate needs. Demonstrate an ability to work with others. Demonstrate comfort in communicating with others to complete tasks. Ability to observe safety and security procedures. Ability to be self-sufficient and perform tasks and duties without immediate supervision. Demonstrate ability to wear and use proper PPE at all times.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking, reaching and climbing. Frequent sitting and operating heavy equipment/loader. Position will occasionally require climbing of ladders and steps. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
