Job Overview

Q3 Contracting (Q3C), a division of Primoris Services Corporation, is a publicly owned and operated construction contracting company that provides both specific and turnkey services for its customers in the gas, oil, electric and telecommunications industry. Our headquarters is in Minnesota with branch offices in Colorado, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

We are actively hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist focusing on electric overhead and underground quality control. This position will be based out of our office in Commerce City, Colorado and the anticipated start date is July 31, 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform field audit functions for all divisions and all products in the assigned territory.
  • Assist in training functions as directed by Corporate.
  • Investigate instances of non‑conformance and facilitate determination of the root cause.
  • Provide input to management and assist in the evaluation and effectiveness of the quality assurance program.
  • Assist in developing performance objectives and standards.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field preferred or high school diploma with five years of previous utility construction experience required.
  • Experience in underground installation, hard and soft surface restoration, and traffic control.
  • Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability and willingness to learn computer and Windows‑based software.
  • Ability to identify and suggest resolution of problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Prompt response to customer needs and satisfactory issue resolution.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Treat people with respect and uphold the organizational values. Follow policies and procedures and complete tasks correctly and timely.
  • Prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently. Consistently meet or exceed deadlines.
  • Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.
  • Solid communication skills and reasoning ability.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees, supervisors/foremen, vendors, suppliers and customers.
  • Understanding of utility distribution.
  • Provide timely, accurate and professional documentation.
  • Ability to provide guidance, maintain a positive attitude toward the job and the company.
  • Attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to all types of people.
  • Willingness to work hard and at times physically demanding work in the elements.
  • Q3 Contracting is a drug‑free environment; all candidates are subject to drug testing.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a daily and continual basis.
  • Ability to drive on a stop‑and‑start basis daily and continually.
  • Perform lifting, placing of materials, standing, walking—particularly on uneven surfaces, turning, stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, crouching; speaking and hearing are required continuously.
  • Close vision is required for some functions and distance, and peripheral vision is required for safety.
