Quality Systems Coordinator - Rod & Bar Mill

Overview

At CF&I Steel, L.P., our strength starts with our people. We seek a Quality Systems Coordinator to join our team in Pueblo, Colorado. The role maintains the Quality Assurance System, including daily quality records, ISO  compliance, claim information, test report databases, training records, job manuals, safety documentation, and audits for the mill. The position supports a safe, healthy environment and contributes to continuous quality improvements.

• Maintain and disseminate quality documentation, including quality assurance records, ISO  compliance, test reports, and calibration data.
• Assist with maintaining and updating SOPs; train workforce when changes are made.
• Support the cloud-based Electronic Quality Management System (EQMS) implementation and ongoing use.
• Coordinate internal and external process and product audits.
• Assist with daily management and maintenance of the quality system; may require off-hour or weekend work.
• Manage calibration system; issue and record process deviations.
• Report daily and monthly Quality Index information.
• Communicate product quality information and improvement initiatives to the workforce.

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience;
  Metallurgy/Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience with Quality Manual and second-tier procedure writing.
• Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Initiative to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions.
• Two years of quality assurance experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems;
  Certified Quality Auditor and ISO 9001 experience preferred.
