Territory Sales Manager – Rockies (CO, WY, UT, NM) Summary
The Territory Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving growth for Hydro Chain stormwater solutions across the Rockies region. This position is accountable for expanding market presence, developing new business opportunities, and converting engineering specifications into revenue. Success in this role comes from building strong relationships with distributors, engineers, and contractors while establishing a high-performing pipeline in a competitive and developing territory.
Responsibilities- Achieve and exceed territory sales and margin targets by building, managing, and maintaining a strong pipeline within CRM tools.
- Develop new business opportunities by securing product specifications and driving project conversions.
- Build and strengthen a distribution network while expanding presence with contractors and end users.
- Engage consistently with engineering firms, municipalities, developers, and regulatory bodies to influence project outcomes.
- Deliver technical education and product awareness through meetings, presentations, and events such as lunch‑and‑learns.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support project delivery, technical solutions, and business strategy.
- Monitor competitive activity and market trends to identify growth opportunities and risks.
- Develop and execute a strategic territory growth plan and contribute to forecasting activities.
- Travel across the assigned region to support sales activity and relationship development.
- Engineering degree (Civil or Mechanical) preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience; additional experience preferred.
- Proven success in sales with strong technical and commercial understanding.
- Experience with in civil infrastructure, stormwater, wastewater, or related industries is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies and territory plans.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to manage a large geographic territory with frequent travel requirements.
