Position: SHOP TECHNICIAN – COLORADO

Outside Sales Representative – Casper, Wyoming

The Pump & Process Solutions is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow sales of its pump products within the state of Wyoming. The role focuses on defining, measuring, analyzing, improving, and controlling the activities that drive market share growth.

Responsibilities

  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers in order to solicit orders or talk with customers by phone.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute a territory sales plan.
  • Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, and the internet.
  • Maintain data relative to partners, accounts, and activities; document customer interactions and prepare required reports.
  • Display or demonstrate products using samples or catalog and emphasize saleable features.
  • Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Estimate dates of delivery to customers based on own firm’s production and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts.
  • Participate in continuing education and training programs and seminars offered by manufacturers to enhance product, market, and technical knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or business and 0–2 years of experience in the pump industry.
  • Professional sales skills, including key account strategies and plans.
  • Introductory knowledge of pumps and pumping systems, including electronically controlled pump systems.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective product presentations to all sizes of audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent PC skills; above‑average knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good aptitude for learning and applying new systems and programs.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, both domestically and internationally, and possess a valid identification.
