Position: Facility Security Officer/SCO (FSO) (DoD Security Clearance)

Job Title and Location

Collins Aerospace - Facility Security Officer (FSO) – Pueblo, CO (Onsite)

Overview

The FSO works with Collins Aerospace Global Security Services to support organizational compliance, security administration, and customer service. The role ensures adherence to U.S. government regulations and company policies, manages emergency procedures, assists with investigations, and leads business resilience and crisis management activities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform duties as the Security Control Official (SCO), ensuring compliance with security policies and managing emergency procedures.
  • Support internal investigations and coordinate with external vendors.
  • Lead the completion of Business Resilience and Crisis Management (BRCM) documents such as Threat Vulnerability Assessments, Business Impact Analyses, Business Incident Response Plans, and conduct tabletop drills.
  • Monitor program operations for effectiveness and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Implement security procedures and practices consistent with company SOPs and government regulations.
  • Provide daily in‑person security support and services to employees.
  • Process, organize, and maintain accurate personnel records containing sensitive and personally identifiable information.
  • Interpret physical construction standards for restricted/secure areas.
  • Complete DCSA FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities Curriculum within six months of hire.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Government Security Compliance team.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience and a university degree (or three years of relevant experience with an advanced degree).
  • Active, transferable U.S. government security clearance required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Experience interpreting and implementing security requirements outlined in DD‑254 forms.
  • Experience conducting investigations – Insider Threat and Workplace Violence.
  • Working knowledge of access control systems (ACS), camera surveillance systems (CSS), and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
  • Experience with National Industrial Security System (NISS) and Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Insider Threat Program Senior Officer (ITPSO) experience.
  • Experience with COMSEC account management.
  • Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework.
  • Professional certifications or affiliations related to security.

Compensation

Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD, commensurate with experience, location, education, and skills.
