Senior Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

Position Summary

Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician – Join a dynamic Walmart retail team to support, repair, and oversee the maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC equipment across Walmart facilities. Use commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand and power tools, and digital equipment to complete jobs efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration techniques.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, navigate ladders, and work comfortably at heights.

• 10+ years of experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC maintenance.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• Minimum 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Preferred: 8 years of HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and an AAS in A/C and refrigeration.
• Preferred:
  Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or an associate’s degree in applied science A/C and refrigeration.
