HVAC Installer job at Flow Right Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric. Pueblo, CO.
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified HVAC Installer to join our team in the Southern, CO area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the precise, safe, and efficient installation of residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, ensuring all work strictly adheres to the standards of the Pueblo Regional Building Department (PRBD) and Pikes Peak Regional and all local codes.
Key Responsibilities and DutiesSystem Installation:
Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, gas furnaces, air handlers, indoor coils, and Wi‑Fi thermostats.
Design, fabricate, and install sheet metal and flexible duct systems to optimize airflow.
Perform refrigerant line brazing, system evacuation, and charging procedures, maintaining compliance with EPA regulations.
Safely connect and test electrical line and low‑voltage wiring.
Properly connect and test natural gas and/or propane lines (Gas Fitter work) to heating equipment.
Perform comprehensive system start‑up, diagnostics, and testing to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Adhere strictly to the requirements and specifications of the local jurisdiction code.
Obtain and ensure proper closure of all required local permits.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment on all job sites.
Customer Service:
Clearly communicate with customers regarding the installation process, expected timelines, and proper operation of new equipment.
Educate customers on routine maintenance and warranty requirements.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 2+ years of documented, hands‑on experience in residential HVAC installation.
Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or formal apprenticeship is preferred.
Highly Preferred Current EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal or Type II) for the proper handling of refrigerants.
Valid Colorado Driver's License with a clean driving record and the ability to be insured by the company.
Expert knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and duct sealing techniques.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, manufacturer specifications, and electrical/gas schematics.
Competence with multimeters, combustion analyzers, and other specialized HVAC diagnostic tools.
