General Facilities Maintenance Technician – Pueblo, CO
Assists in maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of Walmart store facilities, equipment, and furnishings through routine and reactive maintenance work under the guidance of the General Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and utilizing hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
- Respond to and complete reactive repair work orders from the work order management system for stores and store associates, documenting repair activities.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Can move up and down ladders frequently
- Comfortable working at heights frequently
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Able to work in various temperatures
- Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass an MVR report
- Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade
Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade; or 5 years’ experience in the same trades.
Valid Driver’s License and eligibility for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Preferred QualificationsCompletion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical trade program; license in the related trade in the city or state of employment; intermediate level proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Compensation & Benefits- Competitive hourly wage range: $19.00 – $35.00
- Additional premiums up to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed
