Job Responsibility Descriptions
  • Evaluate and process work orders for furniture repair. Determine the most effective process for completion of repair in regards to both time and cost.
  • Retrieve broken furniture from various district facilities for repair. Complete repairs either on-site or at the repair shop. Return all finished products to original location once complete.
  • Responsible for ordering and tracking parts needed for furniture repairs. Maintain all repair tools associated with furniture maintenance and repair.
  • Assist office staff with cost estimating, providing estimates for projects and repairs. Input data into computer work order system.
  • Maintain and repair suspended ceiling systems and tile ceilings.
  • Order and maintain doors and door hardware, lock sets, panic bars, closers, stops, also jambs and installation.
  • Design, build, and maintain cabinets, countertops, shelves, signs, banners, and bulletin boards. Also maintain windows, glazing, blinds, curtains, shades and draperies.
  • Make necessary inspections and repairs of ceramic tile, plaster, drywall and vinyl walls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • More than two years and up to and including three years of experience in all aspects of carpentry required
  • Experience in welding, woodworking, carpentry and furniture repair preferred
Licenses / Certifications
  • Criminal background check required for hire
  • Submit a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet the Colorado School Districts Self Insurance Pool (CSDSIP) insurability standards at the time of hire and throughout employment
  • EPA 16 hour O&M Asbestos training required within 30 days of hire

  • Operating knowledge of power tools preferred at hire.
  • Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals.
  • Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as telephones, copier, fax machine, E-mail, 10 key calculator, etc.
  • Operating knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel
