Landscape Laborer

When you work at a company where the General Manager started out as a laborer three years ago and worked his way to the top, you know we mean it when we’re preparing you to succeed in more than just your current position. As a full-time landscape foreman, you’ll be trained in all of our products and be able to deliver a quality installation.
This position is also the perfect entrance into all other aspects of our business.
- Lays Sod
- Performs Trimming, Planting, and Mulching
- Lays Rock
- Installs Retaining Walls
- Digs, and Rakes Grass and/Ground
- Performs Sprinkler Installation
- Drives a Company truck
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
- Employee agrees to wear Highlands Landscaping & Fencing apparel when on the job
- Continually required to stand
- Continually required to walk
- Occasionally/ required to sit
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
- Continually required to talk or hear
- Occasionally required to taste or smell
- Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather)
- Continually work near moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally work in precarious places
- Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals
- Continuous exposure to outside weather conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually loud
- The employee must continually lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include:
Close vision;
Distance vision;
Color vision;
Peripheral vision;
Depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
- You will earn 5 days of paid vacation time per year for the first three years.
- After 3 years you will earn 10 days of paid vacation time per year.
- In the morning we provide coffee, tea, and every Friday have donuts and fruits.
- After 90 days you are eligible for medical insurance
- The Company offers supplemental insurance
- On your birthday you will receive a card and a gift card.
- You will be provided with uniforms.

SALARY: $16.00 to $18.00 /hour
