: $67,068.00 – $81,834.00 annually

Schedule
:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Some weekends and evenings may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Assess juveniles for appropriateness for the B.E.S.T. program.
  • Develop individualized case plans addressing community safety, youth needs, and guardian needs.
  • Make referrals to agencies for interventions or treatment.
  • Monitor individuals through face‑to‑face contact, alcohol and drug testing, and electronic home monitoring.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with the District Attorney, public defender, private attorneys, social services, IMPACT, mental health, law enforcement, other counties’ CYDC personnel, CJS, courts, clerks, judges, magistrates, and the public.
  • Attend training and conferences to remain current on juvenile justice trends.
  • Report to courts and partner agencies regarding juvenile progress.
  • Appear in court to represent clients and explain court processes.
  • Attend all staffing for juveniles on caseload, including CRTs and school re‑entry or threat assessments.
  • Enter data into ETO and provide tracking information for TRAILS and CYDC tracking purposes.
  • Provide community resources and referrals to clients and families.
  • Act as an unofficial mentor to clients, modeling positive behavior in community settings.
  • Perform related work as required and may be reassigned during emergencies.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 years of combined education and experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Access to reliable transportation for business use.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (current or attainable before hire).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
  • Additional compensation for bilingual skills.
  • Two or more years of experience working with adolescents.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Broad knowledge of juvenile supervision program and related systems.
  • Strong interviewing and counseling skills.
  • Ability to work directly with at‑risk, disadvantaged populations, including those in crisis.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with employees, clients, agencies, and the public.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent walking, bending, crouching, and sitting or standing for extended periods.
  • Operate large vehicles and conduct home visits.
  • Occasional physical pursuit, restraint, and control of minors.
  • Capacity to push/pull a meal cart, lift and carry items, and operate computer equipment.
  • Adequate vision for reading and interpreting information.
  • Clear voice and hearing for communication with staff and the public.
