Senior NetSuite Developer

We are partnering with an established, technology-led organisation to appoint a Senior Net Suite Engineer into its internal technology team.

Net Suite sits at the centre of the company’s operating platform and acts as the system of record for complex, high-volume business processes. Over several years, the organisation has developed a deeply customised Net Suite environment that supports hundreds of internal users and manages critical operational and transactional data.

The successful candidate will join an experienced internal team and take ownership of designing, developing and supporting a genuinely business-critical platform.

You will work closely with product, QA and engineering colleagues to take requirements from initial discussion through technical design, development, testing and production support.

Responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing complex Net Suite functionality using Suite Script
• Supporting and enhancing a heavily customised Net Suite environment
• Working across Suite Script 1.0 and 2.x, including the gradual modernisation of legacy scripts
• Building searches, saved searches and data queries
• Designing APIs and integrations that allow other systems to read from and write to Net Suite
• Investigating production issues across Net Suite and connected applications
• Assessing the wider impact of proposed changes before development begins
• Providing realistic estimates and taking ownership of delivery
• Working with QA to explain functionality and support effective testing
• Contributing to technical standards and the long-term development of the platform

The engineering team already uses tools including Git Hub Copilot and Claude as part of its normal development workflow, particularly for test creation and feature development.

This is a senior, hands‑on engineering position requiring substantial experience developing within Net Suite.

You will ideally have:

• Deep commercial experience with Suite Script
• Strong knowledge of both Suite Script 1.0 and Suite Script 2.x
• Experience supporting or modernising complex legacy customisations
• Strong knowledge of Net Suite searches, saved searches and the underlying data model
• Experience building RESTlets, Suite Talk integrations or other Net Suite APIs
• The ability to troubleshoot complex issues across multiple connected systems
• Experience working within a structured development, testing and release process
• Strong judgment when making changes to business‑critical systems
• The ability to communicate clearly with product, QA and non‑technical stakeholders

Experience with
Boomi would be particularly valuable due to the volume of data moving between Net Suite and the wider application estate.

Exposure to Python or front‑end development would also be useful, although the core focus of the role is Net Suite engineering.

This role offers the chance to work on one of the more sophisticated and extensively customised Net Suite environments in the market.

Rather than configuring standard financial processes, you will be engineering and improving a platform that sits at the heart of the organisation’s operations. The work is technically challenging, highly visible and directly connected to critical business outcomes.
