Forklift Operator​/Warehouse Specialist

About the Opportunity

Serv Corp is seeking experienced Forklift Operators / Warehouse Specialists for a potential five-year warehouse and distribution support opportunity at the GPO Pueblo Distribution Center.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Forklift Operators/Warehouse Specialists will perform warehouse, material-handling, receiving, shipping, storage, inventory, and distribution activities using Government-furnished material handling equipment.

Candidates must have strong material-handling experience and be capable of successfully completing GPO's site-specific evaluation and certification requirements.

• Operate forklifts and other applicable material handling equipment.
• Perform warehouse receiving, storage, staging, movement, and distribution activities.
• Load, unload, move, and position materials safely.
• Assist with inventory and material accountability.
• Support shipping and receiving operations.
• Perform warehouse housekeeping and organization activities.
• Conduct required daily safety checks of Government-furnished equipment before use.
• Follow all applicable safety and operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate warehouse documentation.
• Support physical inventory activities.
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies or damaged materials.
• Perform other warehouse and material-handling duties as assigned.

• Strong forklift/material handling experience.
• Warehouse or distribution experience.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
• Ability to successfully complete GPO's site-specific MHE evaluation/certification and obtain a GPO Operator's License before operating applicable GPO equipment.
• Ability to perform daily safety checks on Government-furnished equipment.
• Ability to work onsite at the GPO Pueblo Distribution Center.
• Ability to successfully complete required Government background processing and facility-access requirements.
• Ability to comply with applicable warehouse and safety requirements.

• Government provides applicable MHE and performs routine maintenance, servicing, and related inspection logs.
• Contractor personnel are responsible for daily safety checks before use.
• Government provides applicable PPE such as high-visibility vests, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
• Safety shoes are the responsibility of the contractor where required.
• Safety-toe/steel-toe footwear is specifically required for forklift operators and must meet the applicable standards identified by GPO.

Forklift Operator/Warehouse Specialist positions may be required to work overtime.

The Government has established a maximum estimated 1,050 overtime hours per year for the forklift/warehouse positions. Overtime will be based on actual hours worked.
