Industrial Electricity Associate Instructor

TCAT Pulaski is accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Industrial Electricity Associate Instructor at our main campus.

• Minimum three (3) years related work experience
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Post-secondary diploma or higher in Industrial Electricity or equivalent
• Prior teaching experience
  
  Industry certifications

• Working knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems
• Must have experience with AC and DC motors, Motor Control (relays, timers, and motor starters) PLCs, VFDs, and Electrical Schematic Diagrams.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Willingness to remain current in the field
• Possess the organizational and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with both adult and high school CTE students as well as faculty, staff, the public, and business/industry representatives
• Must be willing to learn and use classroom management best practices and individualized instructional techniques
• Evidence of potential teaching ability
• Must possess the computer skills necessary to be an effective instructor

• Provide classroom and lab instruction with emphasis on safety
• Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ performance and progress; maintain appropriate records; prepare and submit timely reports
• Develop lesson plans and curriculum
• Assist with recruitment and placement of students
• Maintain lab and equipment
• Participate in program improvement and accreditation
• Engage with industry partners
• Maintain an active Program Advisory Board
• Participate in in-service training, workshops, and other programs for professional growth.
• Participate in student organizations (Skills
  
  USA, etc.)
• Maintain a well‑organized, safe, and clean lab and/or classroom
• Be responsible for equipment and supplies assigned to the lab and/or classroom
• Supervise and follow‑up students participating in Work‑Based Activities
• Teach the Work Ethics curriculum
• Perform other duties as directed and assigned by the administration

In accordance with guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents and the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology.
