Position Overview
This position is responsible for financial governance, reporting, analysis, and record keeping. It includes supervision of associates and reports to the General Manager/VP.
Essential Job Functions- Execute accounting close process and preparation of appropriate financial statements to include comparative analysis of actual results to budgeted and prior period performance.
- Prepare, analyze and discuss operating performance based on financial statements to include trend analysis, period over period analyses, variance analysis and cash forecasting.
- Direct and/or assist with accounting duties including but not limited to A/P, A/R, Payroll, and job costing.
- Direct and/or assist with tax activities including sales tax, payroll tax (federal and multi-state), 1099, and W-2 preparation.
- Maintain chart of accounts, reconcile general ledger, and ensure accuracy/documentation of journal entries.
- Recommend and where appropriate implement financial policy process improvements.
- Prepare appropriate profit/cost center analysis.
- Prepare and execute annual financial audit process with third party auditor.
- Prepare reports for annual workers compensation and general liability audits.
- Direct and/or assist with benefits and 401K reviews.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or related field.
- In depth understanding of GAAP.
- Skilled at Microsoft Office suite.
- Extensive experience in audit execution at all levels and types.
- 5-8 years of experience in similar role.
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory/management role.
Pay Range: $65,/yr ($31.50-$40.86/hr).
