Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions;
Lay out, position, align, and secure parts prior to welding;
Examine work pieces for defects and measure to specifications;
Weld using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys;
Prepare material surfaces and preheat as needed;
Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints;
Maintain weld quality and avoid overheating or distortion;
Mark material with job numbers and identifiers
