This role involves providing critical care coordination and direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting.

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care as appropriate.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and mobility.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge planning, referrals, and psychosocial support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

• Licensure:
  Current Tennessee or compact-state RN license; must file Tennessee paperwork within 30 days of hire if licensed from a compact state.
• Education:
  
  Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP within 90 days of hire; HWC within 6 months;
  Basic Arrhythmia course within 90 days.
• Experience:
  
  One year of prior ICU experience preferred.
• Skills:
  
  Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment.
