Job Type: Full‑Time | Nights
Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000 available to well qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12, 7p‑7a, Rotating Weekends and Holidays
The Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Pulaski invites experienced medical‑surgical nurses to provide direct patient care, medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and documentation. The RN will collaborate across disciplines, assist patients with activities of daily living, educate families, and advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
Responsibilities- Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

- Education:
Associate’s degree required. BSN preferred. - Required Skills:
Critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. - Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire, Handle With Care (HWC) within 6 months of hire. - Licenses:
Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with the proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
