Healthcare Nursing, RN Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist
Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients across a variety of inpatient and/or outpatient settings, supporting our mission to deliver comprehensive healthcare services to the communities of Southern Tennessee.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for performing thorough patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and evaluating patient responses to treatment. You will administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, perform IV therapy and wound care, monitor vital signs, and ensure timely and complete documentation in the electronic medical record. You will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care, support safe discharges, and promote optimal patient outcomes.
You will play a key role in educating patients and their families about diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care, helping them understand how to manage their health effectively ntaining a strong focus on infection control, patient safety, and quality standards, you will follow all hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements. You will also actively contribute to continuous improvement by participating in unit-based initiatives, quality projects, and staff meetings.
This position requires excellent critical thinking, time management, and communication skills, as you will often be caring for multiple patients with varying levels of acuity. You will prioritize and organize your work, respond promptly to changes in patient condition, and elevate concerns appropriately. You will delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of practice and provide guidance and support to nursing assistants, new staff, and, when applicable, students.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Registered Nurse with strong clinical skills, a patient-focused mindset, and the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced hospital environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required based on departmental needs.
