Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Primary Care Clinic

Job Type: Full-Time | Days

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday 8a-5p

As a Clinic LPN, you will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, perform plan of care interventions, assist RN with plan development, help patients with daily living activities, and monitor patient status.

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
• Perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care, administer medication, and document patient care.
• Assist RN with development of plan of care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Schedule appointments and procedures as ordered by provider.
• Obtain insurance re-authorizations for testing and scheduled procedures.

• Certifications:
  
  AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• Required Skills:
  
  Critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Licenses: LPN license for the State of Tennessee.
• Education:
  
  Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
