Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Primary Care Clinic

Schedule:

Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

As a Clinic LPN, you will work under the supervision and delegation of a registered nurse to provide direct patient care in a primary care setting. You will support patients, assist with daily living activities, and coordinate care with the healthcare team.

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including specimen collection, wound care, medication administration, and documentation of patient care.
• Assist the RN in developing the plan of care.
• Assist patients in activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with the RN, physician, patient, and families.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Schedule appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Obtain insurance re-authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures.

• Current Tennessee or compact state LPN license.
• Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
• Certification: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to perform effectively in a stressful environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
