Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department (ER) PRN
Job Type: PRN | Night
Schedule: 2x12 per 6 weeks; 2 weekend shifts per quarter; 2 holidays per year
About the RoleSouthern Tennessee Regional Health System – Pulaski provides emergency care and we are looking for an ER RN to join our team on a PRN basis. The position offers self-scheduled preference requests, flexibility to swap shifts, and the opportunity to be part of our new Emergency Department.
How you'll contribute- Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Documents patient care given.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE within 90 days of hire; HWC within 6 months of hire. TNCC preferred, ENPC preferred.
- Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and to perform in a stressful environment.
- Licenses: Licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed RN from a Compact State with proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
- Education: Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
