Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ER) – PRN
Job Type: PRN. Night
Schedule:
2‑12 per 6 weeks; 2 weekend shifts per quarter; 2 holidays per year.
- Provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
- Document patient care provided.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Act as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

- Current Tennessee or one‑day compact state RN license.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred).
- Base certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, and HWC (all within specified time frames); TNCC and ENPC preferred.
- Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and capacity to work in a stressful environment.
