Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medical Surgical (Med Surg) PRN
Job Type: PRN | Day
Schedule: 2x12 per 6 weeks; 7a-7p; 2 weekends per quarter; 1 major and minor holiday per year
About the RoleAs a Med Surg LPN you will provide direct patient care in a supervised and delegated environment under a registered nurse. This role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, as supervised and delegated by a registered nurse.
- Current Tennessee LPN license or a compact state LPN license with graduation from a Practical Nursing program.
- Must hold the following certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire;
Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition & Stabilization (PEARS) within 6 months of hire; I.V. Competency preferred with intent to obtain within 1 year of hire;
Handle With Care (HWC) preferred. - One-year nursing experience is preferred.
