Travel RN - Detox
This position involves working in a detox unit with a focus on substance abuse treatment. Experience in emergency care will be considered. Ideal candidates will assist with bedside procedures. Knowledge of CIWA/COWS is preferred. The patient population includes ages 18 and older, including occasional patients aged 17. Common diagnoses and treatments include substance abuse, polysubstance abuse, ETOH, and associated behavioral conditions.
Treatments may involve using valium tapers, subutex, vivitrol, banana bags, and rescue medications. Candidates should be willing to learn and work collaboratively as part of a team. Respect for department expectations and a calm demeanor in chaotic situations are essential. Candidates must demonstrate confidence in clinical judgment and a willingness to help improve processes. Professionalism and adherence to the dress code are required.
Solid color scrubs are to be worn, with specific restrictions on attire. No discrimination or negative workplace behavior will be tolerated.
Experience:
3+ years preferred (5+ years preferred) License: RN licensure required in Tennessee
Certifications:
BLS, ALS, PALS
