Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Medical Surgical (Med Surg)
Job Type: Full‑Time | Night.
Schedule:
3x12; 7p‑7a;
Rotating Weekends.
Position available at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Pulaski.
ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision and delegation of a registered nurse, the LPN provides direct patient care in accordance with scope and standards of practice. The role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
Qualifications- Current Tennessee or compact state LPN license.
- Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
- Minimum one year of previous experience in a medical‑surgical setting (preferred).
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
- Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition & Stabilization (PEARS) certification within 6 months of hire.
- I.V. Competency preferred; intent to obtain within 1 year of hire.
- Handle With Care (HWC) preferred.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
