Job Summary:

Pulaski County Public Schools is seeking responsible, flexible, and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers to join our educational team. The Substitute Teacher is responsible for maintaining a productive classroom environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher and following the lesson plans provided to ensure continuity of instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow lesson plans left by the classroom teacher
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment
• Supervise students in the classroom and other school settings
• Provide feedback to the regular teacher on student behavior and progress
• Uphold school rules, procedures, and policies
• Adapt quickly to new environments and grade levels as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required;
  Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• You must be at least 21 years old
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to different classroom environments

Work Schedule:

• On-call, as needed
• Assignments may be for part-day, full-day, or multiple days

Qualification

The minimum requirements for substitute teaching are:

• Must be at least 21
• Hold a High School Diploma/GED or higher to substitute at all school levels. Proof of education is required. Upload Diploma, Degree, or Transcripts to the online application.
• Submit an application, pass criminal background checks. and have completed all the required training for this position.
• Obtain a Tuberculosis Screening

Salary:

Daily rate of $105.00-$140.00
