Lead Daycare Teacher – Central, NY
Full‑time 12‑month position with PTO & benefits. NYS certified teachers follow the school calendar plus 6 weeks of summer session. Inclusion preschool team includes a special education teacher, lead preschool teacher, and three teacher assistants per classroom.
Setting and LocationLittle Lukes Preschool and Children Center. Choose from six locations in Oswego, Fulton, East Syracuse, Baldwinsville, Pulaski, and Camillus.
Lead Teacher RoleWork alongside a team of certified Special Education Teachers, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech‑Language Pathologists, School Psychologists, and Certified Teacher Assistants to support children in our care.
- Provide exceptional care and instruction: support development and education of preschool children ages 3‑5 in inclusive classrooms.
- Teach developmentally appropriate academic and social skills to prepare children for kindergarten through strong, language‑based whole group, small group, and one‑on‑one interactions.
- Create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment where children are encouraged to be curious and excited to learn.
- Set and reinforce classroom expectations and routines.
- Plan and conduct data analysis: prepare goals and instructional materials, coordinate curriculum implementation with the preschool team, and communicate with team members, administrators, and parents regarding children’s development and behavior.

- Expertise in delivering care for the educational, developmental, and social‑emotional growth of children in your charge.
- Warm, engaging, family‑centered approach.
- Drive to work hard, adapt to the constant change and evolution of early childhood care.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to share feedback across teams in a collaborative and solution‑oriented way.
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (e.g., Elementary Education). An active NYS teacher certification preferred.
- Compensation: $53,000 per year.
